Wisconsin Crash Results in Death of Man Crushed Between Two Big Rigs

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 08, 2011 - Two of the truck drivers were taken to a local hospital and said to have only m audi inor injuries.  The chain-reaction crash happened about 200 miles east of La Crosse in Oak Creek according to reports.  Initial reports indicated that one of the truckers failed to slow for traffic that was at a standstill due to highway construction.  Preliminary investigations show that the minivan driven by the Illinois man killed in the crash was crushed between two tractor-trailer rigs when the accident occurred.

Following the accident I-94 was closed to traffic while investigations were performed by the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department.  All lanes reopened for traffic by 6 a.m.  

While it wasn't known initially why the driver failed to stop for the construction, it raises suspicions about whether the driver may have been fatigued.  This is a horrible tragedy that happens all too often on today's highways and interstates.
